It’s like a launcher on an Android device. Windows Explorer is the program we use to browse through our contents on Windows. But fundamentally, anything wrong with the program should not cause issues with the taskbar which is bound to be a part of Windows Explorer. When you want to watch something fullscreen, you want the screen to have no distractions the Windows 10 taskbar is designed in such a way that it can cause a lot of distractions.īut why does this happen? Well, most of the time it can be a bug related to the program you use using to watch the content. To get the screen size you can either use the value from SystemParameters.Windows 10 has its own quirks and bugs and one of them is the Taskbar not hiding when you watch something in fullscreen. What worked is to not set the Maximized property, get the size of the desktop and set these: Top = 0 Even with the Windows API the taskbar does hide but there is still the space after the window is maximized. Window.WindowState = WindowState.Maximized Window.WindowStyle = WindowStyle.SingleBorderWindow If (window.WindowStyle = WindowStyle.None) I also use this code to switch between full screen and window mode: public void SwitchFullScreen() Private void SetTopMostFalse(Window window)Ī(new Action(() => T = new Timer(o => SetTopMostFalse(window), null, 1000, Timeout.Infinite) Private void StartTopmostTimer(Window window) Var window = ().SingleOrDefault(x => x.IsActive)
